Questions
Short answers about Clash of Clans and about this fan guide. The game is Supercell’s. Hearthline only explains it. If your question is missing, call +44 (0) 7511 776 795 or email [email protected]. We read messages on business days and we will say so when a note needs a patch check before we publish a correction.
Is the game free, and what does Town Hall 18 change?
Clash of Clans is free to install and free to attack. Supercell sells an optional Gold Pass from Town Hall 3, and gem packs, inside the official apps. Town Hall 18, released 17 November 2025, is the current Home Village cap: level 19 walls, Laboratory 16, and hero ceilings of 110 for the King and Queen. The longer brief is on our Handbook page. Numbers move when Supercell ships an update, so the client is the final reference.
Can Hearthline upgrade my village or recover an account?
No. We cannot log into your village, spend your resources, or talk to Supercell support on your behalf. Account help belongs to Supercell’s own support channels inside the game. Use the Reach Us form for questions about a paragraph on this site. We aim to reply within one business day. Anyone offering “free gems” for your login is not this desk.
Where are the village studies?
Open the Album for layout studies: farming rings, anti-air compartments, and a Clan Capital district sketch. They are fan readings of common base ideas, not files you can copy into the game.
How do heroes, pets, and wars fit together?
Six heroes share the Hero Hall. Pets from the Pet House, unlocked at Town Hall 14, follow one hero each. Clan Wars score up to three stars per attack. Clan War Leagues stretch that idea across a week. Details on form data sit in our Privacy Notice and Cookie Notice.
Who writes the notes?
Meet the editors on the Editors page. The desk is at Silverstream House, 45 Fitzroy Street, London W1T 6EB, United Kingdom. Clash of Clans itself is played worldwide in Supercell’s apps, not at that address.
